2021 UN Country Annual Results Report
The UN in Sri Lanka’s Country Results Report 2021 shows how the UN remained steadfast to the national development priorities articulated in the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2018–2022 (UNSDCF), despite COVID-19’s disruptions. In parallel, it details how the UN supported delivery of one of the fastest and most comprehensive vaccination campaigns in the region, and mobilised additional resources to protect livelihoods, businesses, schools, and vulnerable populations across the country. Besides COVID-19 response and recovery-related efforts, the 2021 Results Report details the UN’s interventions in accordance with the four priority areas of the UNSDCF. These are arranged under eight categories of results: health; nutrition and food security; social protection; employment, skills, and economic recovery; social cohesion; climate change; digital transformation and innovation; and SDG-driven planning, financing, and data. Finally, our 2021 E-report outlines how the UN walks the talk on leaving no one behind across youth, gender, and disability inclusion. It looks ahead to the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023–2027 and how the UN intends to prioritise solutions to national and global challenges that are sustainable, inclusive, and anchored in human rights for all.
