United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework
The Government and people of Sri Lanka and the United Nations Country Team are committed to working together, in support of national development priorities and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2023–2027 articulates the collective vision and contribution of the United Nations system to support Sri Lanka to accelerate actions towards the achievement of the SDGs. It is anchored in a rights-based approach and is underpinned by the principle of leaving no one behind as the country makes progress on all three pillars of sustainable development: economic, social, and environmental.
The collective results expected from the Cooperation Framework will contribute to a vision where all people in Sri Lanka, especially the most vulnerable, contribute to and benefit from inclusive, just, sustainable, and rights-based development in a resilient, peaceful, and cohesive society, leading to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs.
